Although it is a past event for 2 months, it one of the biggest event in my life which i think i would always remember. It is the most enjoyable day and i would like to take this chance to thank all the Crazians, HuoBao Bros & Yanguang for joining us for this big event in my life. Especially to Mayann, Yingjie, Kinda, 二姐 and my bird cager Qiang ge and Cannie
Plan making in Progress
Actually, all planning started at the start of the year. Started to discuss with 二姐 and may ann on how to proposal and coming out with ideas like doing it at a restaurant or at a hotel, to prepare a song or not. It was during the trip when Liling was on her 1st oversea work trip to Africa when i started to concrete all the things that i want to do for her. Started to learn how to draw Chibi and coming out with the storyline. It turn out that i only manage to finish everything and was having a discussion with May ann, Kinda and Yingjie on the day when Liling is back.
Venue - Talent Cafe
So how do we manage to find this wonderful venue? Thanks to Kinda. We were having our drinking session and dinner with Kenji, Richard and Kinda at the street opposite the cafe where we decide to go to Talent Cafe for desserts. After reaching the place, we order and we went upstairs to recce the place. Upon looking at the room, it just look perfect for a gathering with a cosy bar and with a balcony too. The price seem reasonable and so after a week of decision, i have set to meet there to talk about the proposal plan.
Deciding on the Date
The initial day was on the 6 May 2012 as it our anniversary date is also on 6th but too bad that the Cafe is not open on Sunday. It will be great as we are schedule to pick our flat on the 9th May 2012 and i wanted to do it before that day. Since i can't do it, i was thinking doing it on 5th which also they can't as it fall on Vesak day and they are not open on public holiday. So after checking the calendar, we decide to set on 25 May 2012 which is the best date for everyone.
Posters, Deco, Ring and song
The plan was to present my sketch book to her near the balcony while everyone behind will start doing my the deco for the room.So after looking at the room, we decide to do 4 big posters and placing photos ard the room on the tables and windows latches. So we started to do the posters and Mayann,Yingjie and Kinda took the time and effort to design and get the poster printed for me. For me, i went back to find all my photos that she have printed out for me during my Norway trip and also stealing photos that i printed for her for her Africa trip. Meanwhile, i took my oversize ring to do a customization to fit her finger and also meeting up with my 二姐 as she is helping me to come out with a tune that fit my low un-sexy voice.
The Final Meet up
It was the final meet up where we were just 1 day before the meet up. We try putting up the posters and placing all the photos into photo frames that Ying jie have. My bird cage team will trying to lure Liling by fetching her into their car. we started to assign people to do what on the day and making sure everything is right.
The Final Act
The day have come, went to work for half a day. It was a near busted case when i accidentally type "Bird luring in excution" (if i nv forget lah). May ann called me straight and say u wrote on the chat room. i was so worry liling will found out but lucky good save by qiang ge. During lunch i went to have a hair cut follow by goind down to collect the flowers at UE Square. Due to some miscommunication, i have to wait for the flowers. It is a risky thing as Liling is having a meeting at this area with clients. I was hoping not to meet her and i was trying my best to hide inside the kopitiam. Once i collect the flower, i went back to office as i forget to bring along the speaker that i promise to bring. Once i collect the speaker, i went down to the cafe and i was pretty early, think i reach ard 5pm. When to the nearby fitness first Club to take a shower and be in my best. Went back to the Cafe and started to sit there to listen to the music which i have told 二姐 that i need some modification and lucky she is back home to help me. The Cafe's manager came in and saw me sitting there and say "hey! are you just going to sit there? Don't be so stress out." I just smiled and keep rehearsing my song. At around 6pm, Ying jie reached and subsequently everyone reached the place.
As some of us are "not expected to come" and we need everyone help with deco, a briefing on who to do what was giving and also assigning people to hiding place. At around 8pm, Cannie send us the message at they are parking liao and everyone was on standby.
Once she reached we started to execute the plan and it turn out that it was a success. Here the video for your viewing.
After that, we have a long chat while waiting for our dinner, we have a lot of drinks total of 40 glasses of beers while the food was waiting to be serve to us. Some of us was looking at the younger days photos. it was really a celebration and i really enjoy ourselves alot.
